On Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Iowa Theater in Winterset will host a private screening of the award-winning documentary Storm Lake. This event is a special thank-you for paid subscribers of the Iowa Writers' Collaborative and is free for IWC writers and all paid subscribers. The film offers an intimate look at the Cullen family's fight to keep local journalism alive through their newspaper, The Storm Lake Times, amidst the challenges facing small-town newsrooms.
