Roundup for week ending 9/18/22. On the Grow!
...your new Iowa Writers' Collaborative columnists
On the grow, indeed:
Look at our map…we are on the grow, with more to come. Our columnist ranks now include Suzanne de Bacca.
From her introductory column:
…, for my day job, I have the privilege of leading an award-winning media and publishing company based in Iowa. We cover business, cultural and philanthropic communities. For our publications and some outside organizations, I write about another one of my passions: leadership. I tend to focus on individual and organizational change and transformation; diversity, equity and inclusion; and how things are organized or function. Those stories are told through a business lens. But we all know that at the end of the day businesses are run by people. People who have personal stories.
People like you. People like me.So, while I’ll likely use this site to explore some topics related to the economy or workforce or business in the Midwest, my plan is to take a more personal approach. I’ll be exploring the energy of the Heartland – the people, institutions, and dynamics that make the center of the country tick. I’ll be delving into why we embrace or resist change, how transformation is happening constantly under our very noses

IOWA WRITERS’ COLLABORATIVE
We are individual writers who are using this platform to link readers to our work and that of our Iowa Writers’ Collaborative columnist colleagues. We are on a mission to preserve commentary, as told by some of the best journalists and writers in the state.
Through the Iowa Writes’ Collaborative, we are connecting Iowans from all across the state. We think it is important to know what is happening in the Quad Cities and rural Iowa, as well as the more populated central metro area. We hope to revive our respective connections.
If you agree with the mission, can you send this Roundup to a few folks you think might find it of interest?
And please subscribe to our individual writers. Your support keeps everyone engaged in this new endeavor.
